Create a new dresser that has traditional character and charm but with an unusual twist that can catch the eye – that was the brief for the interior designer at LochAnna
Kitchens. And they achieved this look by adding bi-fold doors to a traditional looking cabinet. No more reaching and straining to find the can at the back of the cupboard you can’t see. Everything you have is instantly visible with just one movement.
Sinead Trainor, kitchen category manager at LochAnna Kitchens explains: “Born from the trend towards a more traditional style kitchen. It has been designed with the most premium materials and methods that can be achieved whilst keeping its affordable luxury status.”
The dresser starts at £780 and can be fitted as a stand-alone furniture unit on top of base units, or in a run of base and wall units for a seamless wall-to-wall layout that wouldn’t be out of place in a West London townhouse.
The doors are made of solid ash, whilst the dresser itself is an oak-effect cabinet. To create a quintessentially English feel, a framed look can be achieved. Do this by fitting the frame profile used for the doors to the front of the internal divider and the shelves in either a contrasting or matching colour to the external doors. This is an easy task considering there are thirty colours to choose from. Some of our favourites are the simple neutral ‘Sage’, deep ‘Sapphire’ (pictured above) and warm ‘Earth’.Also read:Need to know: London Basin Company’s take on pattern and colourNEXT!
