Dreaming of Autumn already? Have an early peek at the new Neptune autumn collection

Storage that’s as classic as the changing of the seasons

As part of Neptune’s autumn collection, launching on 2nd September online and in all of its stores across the UK and Europe, the British designer reveals a timeless piece of cabinetry that aims to showcase how to make a serious statement out of storage – Chawton.

The new cabinet was inspired by the ceiling-to-floor and wall-to-wall library look. But the big selling point is adaptability. The fitting can be added to over time or broken down to be turned into multiple storage pieces. There are multiple options of base cabinet available, adjustable shelving and three different sizes of dresser top.

Henry Tovey from Neptune’s in-house design team explains: “Every section of Chawton is designed as a piece of furniture in its own right, because this gives people the flexibility to use as many of the different sections as they wish without it ever looking unfinished. Our timeless approach to furniture design isn’t purely about aesthetics that won’t fall out of favour or materials that will stand the test of time, but to make pieces that can grow old with you and adapt.”

This is a more environmentally conscious approach to our current throw-away consumerism too, as Tovey explains: “They’re pieces to invest in for a lifetime, that can move with you from home to home adapting as you need, which is a far more planet-conscious way to create.”

The cabinet, which is made from painted tulipwood and solid oak, would fit well into any classic styled kitchen.
