The quirky interior supplier MindTheGap have just released a new range of six bohemian inspired patterns, and we love the colourful creativity they’ve used. Bold yet complex, if you're looking to make a statement with your next choice of furniture, look no further.
The company is based in Transylvania, and you can feel the region’s gypsy spirit and diverse ethnic heritage through the vibrant and intricate prints. MindTheGap are never afraid to experiment, and it has certainly paid off in this latest collection.
The palette is an exciting mix of brick reds, ochre, earthy pinks and deep blues. The patterns started their lives as just that, but are now available as upholstered furniture, cushions, or wallcoverings. We reckon they’d even feel at home as the cover album artwork for a popular folk band.
An Eastern Asian theme has also been encorporated in some of the designs: Hindustani elephants and explorers have been woven in alongside the Roma-gypsy inspired birds and florals. The cultural mixture created here would look at home in the room of any travel enthusiast.
“Somewhere deep in our hearts we are all hippies, free-spirited nomads wandering the world, taken by our dreams to unknown and marvellous places,” says MindTheGap founder Stefan Ormenisan. Also read:Need to know: How is your sofa evolving beneath you?NEXT!
