Calling all literature lovers: the property that reportedly inspired Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights is for sale.

Whilst the epic love story might be fictional, the property that inspired it certainly isn't: in fact, the 5,000sqft Ponden Hall, situated in Keighley, West Yorkshire, could be yours for a neat £1.25 million.

With parts of the property dating back to the 16th century, Ponden Hall is rich in historic features: think rough stone walls, dark wooden beams, authentic fireplaces and more!

Currently operating as a bed-and-breakfast, the nine-bedroom property actually has extensive connections to the Brontë family: it is thought to have also inspired Anne's novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, whilst the Brontë patriarch, Patrick, is known to have frequented its library.
