Need to know: Aria, a new solid core worktop from Formica Group

It’s a genuine alternative to natural and engineered stone worktops without the extra installation costs

Surface manufacturer Formica Group has launched Aria, a range of solid core worktops in ultra slim 12mm and 20mm.

Browse 1,000s of inspiring ideas for your kitchen redesign here

Aria has been developed in response to the growing trend demand from kitchen studios and consumers for an alternative to natural and engineered stone. Available in selected kitchen studios, the surface is combined with a solid, colour matched core.

There are three colour palettes: natural whites, cool greys and modern blacks. Aria is available in a choice of 15 stone, granite and marble decors plus, patterns and plain colours, influenced by public preferences.

The worktops, which are finished with a slight chamfer and polished edge, can be cut on site and installed using standard tools, reducing time and installation costs.

Aria is constructed in one piece, it’s waterproof even when the coloured core is revealed, making it ideal for under-mounted sinks, curved island edges and incorporating drainage grooves. It allows for a mitre joint to be cut for a smoother edge finish and can be matched with verticals including splashbacks, cabinets and doors.
