Whilst the bathroom might more obviously lend itself to shades of blue, green can also work perfectly, too.

Instantly energizing and brimming over with life, green offers a full spectrum that ranges from barely-there pastel to jewel-bright emerald, via cooler shades of mint and more neutral olive tones.

One joy of green is that it lends itself perfectly to metallics, whether via a decadent tub as shown above, or an oh-so gorgeous wallpaper, as demonstrated below.

It also works in more neon-leaning shades; as shown in the bathroom below, it can provide a striking contrast colour.

Lighter shades can work perfectly as an accent shade; using it on every wall can actually result in the colour using that ripe apple-y appearance.

Also, pairing it with another colour or texture on the walls - as demonstrated neatly by this half-green, half-tiled bathroom - can create an impressive graphic finish.

For a more subtle take, consider painting the doors of cabinetry, or picking coloured storage baskets or drawers.

Different shades and textures can work together beautifully; the finished effect is curated and the colour variety allows for a warming finish.

For a simpler yet equally striking finish, opt for wet-look tiles that can offer an extra dimension to your bathroom.

And if all else fails? Turn your attention to your bath and opt for a painted freestanding tub, naturally - rubber duck optional, style inevitable.
