Make the most of every inch of your kitchen with clever storage and compact appliances

From penthouse pads to basement flats and country cottages, many homes face the challenge of kitting out a compact kitchen. Get it right however, and you’ll benefit from an easy-to-clean, easy-access area with no wasted space. The key lies in careful planning and design. We thus put together a list that is not only high on style but also maximise storage space.

Make use of space with this recessed system from the Schüller C collection. Anything from knife blocks, utensil and recipe holders to additional shelf units can be hooked into the wall panels which creates an instant display. From InHouse, the backboard starts at £113 per linear m, the knife holder is £100, and the accessories holder, £30.82

Less is definitely more in a small space. Be selective when it comes to appliances, by looking for a combination microwave oven or combination model with steam.
