Hotel En Suite Looks to Steal: Grown Up Elegance

Take home more than just memories by stealing some style from your favourite hotel bathroom
   EKBB Magazine  |  written on: 02-10-2021 12:40pm

Head back to the roaring ‘20s, where the glitz and glamour of the Gatsby era is the perfect inspiration for an Art Deco-inspired space. Indulge in rich golds, angular tiles and designer toiletries. Luxury marble is the ideal way to show off opulence, whether you decide on a marble floor or just a simple accessory.

The Arts Club, Mayfair, London
The Arts Club, the private member’s club established by Charles Dickens in 1863, has 16 rooms and suites in its Mayfair townhouse. The Art Deco bathrooms, by London design house Sagrada, feature striking walnut doors and have been designed with bronze fittings and accessories from Cristal et Bronze, Calacatta Oro marble floorings and freestanding cast iron bathtubs from Catchpole & Rye.

Gleneagles, Perthshire, Scotland
Martin Goddard of designers Goddard Littlefair went to Italy to handpick all the marble used for the newly renovated bathrooms in this majestic hotel, including these hexagonal marble tiles in their Whisky Suite bathroom. Ornate mirrors with an antique finish accessorise the square basins from Villeroy & Boch and the Perrin & Rowe brass taps.

Each immaculate space has been designed in a modern British style by Firmdale co-owner and designer Kit Kemp. Apartment 24, seen here, has a large marble bathroom with double basins, deep freestanding bathtub and TV.

Claridge’s, Mayfair, London
This bathroom is part of a Claridge’s suite designed by British designer David Linley to reflect the Victorian and Art Deco periods that have shaped this famous hotel’s history. As well as this grand bathroom with original double black marble vanities and bath, the suite features an entrance hall, separate sitting room and the services of a personal butler for the duration of your stay.
